Trustees
As a Legal or Accountancy practice you or your staff may from time to time take on the role of Trustee, or work with Trustees of various types of trust. The Budget 2009 announced that a new higher rate of tax will apply to discretionary trusts from 6 April 2010. This announcement means that it may be prudent to plan for this new 50% rate (42.5% for dividend income).

How this works:
- We recommend what we feel would be the right package to meet with your needs taking into consideration advice provided, your needs and circumstances. We also agree with you how often we will review you business and the advice we give you and from when this will start. We do this so as you don’t pay for services you might not need.
- Your choice, as all clients are different ultimately you get to choose which package you want as you may want more of a service than we are recommending. This ensures that you know what to expect from us and we know our obligations to you - giving you clarity and transparency.
- We give you a copy of your package along with the scheduled dates for review.
- You are contacted in due course then to arrange these by a member of our client services team. However you are free to contact us at anytime during your review dates. And likewise if we feel that it’s necessary to contact you in between we will do so.
